Teen dead, 2 others seriously injured after crash near Black Diamond: EMS


STARS air ambulance has been called to a collision near Black Diamond.

A 17-year-old young lady from Turner Valley has been killed and two other individuals are in healing facility after a genuine two-vehicle crash on Highway 7 close to the town of Black Diamond, EMS said Friday night. 

EMS revealed to Global News the young lady was articulated dead at the scene. The other tenant in the vehicle was a 14-year-old kid. He was transported to Alberta Children's Hospital by ground emergency vehicle in genuine condition. 

The individual in the other vehicle was a 42-year-elderly person who was carried to Foothills Medical Center in genuine, conceivably hazardous condition, EMS said. 

RCMP said the accident happened only east of Black Diamond soon after 3:30 p.m. Friday. RCMP said an eastward vehicle slammed into a vehicle that was traveled west on Highway 7. 

"A traveler vehicle crashed into a SUV," police said in a news discharge. "A third vehicle was engaged with the crash with inhabitants enduring minor wounds. They were dealt with and discharged on scene." 

As of 5:40 p.m. on Friday, Highway 7 was obstructed. Alternate routes are relied upon to be set up for the following a few hours, RCMP said. 

Police said an examination concerning what happened is progressing and that the reason for the accident still couldn't seem to be resolved.
